Flint Hills Books is hosting GRANT SNIDER, bestselling writer, cartoonist, and creativity guru for a very special “back to school” edition of BOOKS & BREWS, which is free and open to the public.
Grant Snider is the author of several books, including One Boy Watching, I Will Judge You By Your Bookshelf, The Art of Living, The Shape of Ideas, What Sound is Morning?, What Color is Night?.
His newest book NOTHING EVER HAPPENS ON A GRAY DAY will be released September 5, 2023!

Saturday, March 11, 2-3pm
Please join us for a reading featuring landscapes and cultures of East and West Africa: the rugged mountains and plateaus of Ethiopia and the edge of the Sahara in Niger. Tim Bascom spent half his childhood in Ethiopia and will share both memoir and fiction detailing Ethiopian culture. K.L. Barron lived among the nomads of Niger for a time and will read from her novel Thirst, which captures the dominating desert landscape and some of the nomads’ endangered traditional culture so reminiscent of traditional Native American cultures on the prairie.

New York Times best-selling author Candice Millard will be in Cottonwood Falls from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 11 for a book signing co-hosted by Flint Hills Books and Symphony in the Flint Hills. The event will take place at the Symphony in the Flint Hills Gallery, 331 Broadway Street.
